Photography Challenge- Project 52

Okay so, I have a crazy idea! Crazy but so good I don’t know why I haven’t thought of it sooner!

I am creating a Project 52!

For those of you who haven’t heard of a project 52, it’s simply a photo challenge where you take one picture a week for the entire year. There are 52 weeks in a year so you will end up with 52 photos at the end. It is a good way to stay consistent in your photography and a great reminder to pick up your camera!

This is a project for photographers, aspiring photographers and anyone with a camera (Yes the camera on your phone counts!) The best part is anyone can do it. I will make it really easy and provide you with weekly prompts, all you have to do is take your picture within those 7 days and you are golden!

For all of my aspiring photographers this is a great way to grow and improve your skill! I have had so many people ask me for photography tips and how to get started and this is it. Practice, practice, practice! It goes a long way and will help you improve so much.I have participated in some photography challenges in years past and the amount a growth I have seen in my photography was UN REAL. You will be amazed at the end of the year when you look back at all of the beautiful images you have taken.

Lifestyle photography is very near and dear to my heart. I’m doing this project  because I want to remember all of life’s details. Years from now, I don’t want to forget what life was like when my daughter was two. I want to remember how much she loved playing with her baby dolls, how she would color on her belly with markers any chance she got (don’t ask, I have no idea why she does this) and how excited she got when she saw bubbles in her bath.

It is incredibly easy to get caught up in the craziness of life. Trust me, this happens to me constantly. Lets change that! Lets document the details, get it on camera,  save it,  print it! These memories are too special to forget. At the end of the year I plan on making a photo book out of my 52 pictures so I can have it on my bookshelf for years and years!

Who’s with me? You have a month to mentally prepare and get all your ducks in a row. I will be there to support you and answer any questions you have along the way!

The Arlyn Collective Project 52 will begin January 1st 2018.

  1. I love the idea! I’m a photographer too and I’m seriously considering taking part in this challenge too. I only have to make sure I will be able to do it time-wise.
