Lavender Simple Syrup

Coffee is not something I take lightly. I am super picky and I try not to be… yet here we are.

I’m constantly going back and forth between different coffee creamers, milk, almond milk, sugar, honey, maple syrup.. I love a good flavored creamer as much as anyone but it always leaves me wanting more. I like it, I don’t love it. It gets the job done but its not great. My go to is usually almond milk and sugar but sometimes you need to get a little fancy so I made Lavender Simple Syrup. You can use it in the morning with your coffee and at night in your mojitos. That’s a win in my book!

1 cup of organic sugar

1 cup of filtered water

5 drops of Lavender Vitality EO

Pour the sugar and water into a medium sized saucepan and stir.

Bring the mixture to a boil for 30 seconds and then let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.

Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Add lavender and stir.

Let it cool completely and then transfer to a sealed glass container.

(I like to use 4oz mason jars)

Add it to your coffee with a little bit of cream or non dairy milk and enjoy!
